School Uniform

The school's aim is to provide a uniform, which is smart and functional. We expect all students to wear uniform with pride at all times. Any student who does not wear the correct uniform or wears uniform incorrectly will be expected to correct this immediately.

All uniform can be purchased from Whittakers Schools Wear at Oswaldtwistle Mills or Abbey Street Shopping Centre.

Uniform Considerations

  • Jumpers are optional and must be worn underneath the school blazer.
  • School shoes must be black and, for health and safety reasons in the workshop, they must be flat, sturdy and have a strap.  Ballet/dolly shoes are not suitable footwear. Trainers/canvas shoes must not be worn.
  • Trainers are only permitted for PE lessons and if participating in sports at lunchtime.
  • Black trainers are not a substitute for black shoes.
  • Hairstyles should be moderate (shaved heads are not considered moderate) and boys should be clean-shaven.  Artificial colours, braids, beads, or signs, patterns and letters cut into hair are not appropriate for school.
  • Make-up, false tan and false nails are not appropriate for school and should not be worn.
  • Jewellery is limited to a wristwatch and one pair of stud earrings only.  Other body piercings are not acceptable.
