Y8 Fixture HYA v The Hollins Published on : 10 February 2022 / Categories: General Last night, our Y8 boys football squad played The Hollins. The lads are improving game by game, and this result shows. "A steady first half from both sides meant it was 0-0 at half time. Some good football played by both teams in the first half. The Hollins went 1-0 in the second half, but not for long! Fresh legs from the subs bench Zain and Caleb came on and completely changed the game. Zain equalised with a superb run, gliding past 2 players before pinging the ball into the top corner with his left peg. Caleb then scored a goal with his weak foot to make it 2-1 to #TeamHYA! We continued to dictate play, with Jax and Harry bossing the show in midfield. We had a goal disallowed, again by Zain, then hit the bar through Jaden. Very unlucky not to go 3-1 up! With 2 minutes to go, The Hollins equalised through a goal to concede. What a shame! But the lads are delighted to get their first point on the board after some very close fixtures in recent months. Some strong performances as usual in defence, too! Well done boys." ⚽ Previous Article Wheel of Fortune Next Article Exciting in-school apprenticeships for The Hyndburn Academy students Print
