We are incredibly proud of the 14 outstanding Year 9 students who were selected to take part in the prestigious Leaders of Industry Academy at Accrington and Rossendale College.

The day was packed with exciting, fast-paced challenges designed to develop essential business skills such as leadership, teamwork, resilience, problem-solving, and decision-making. Our students rose to the occasion with confidence, creativity, and determination.

One of the key tasks involved designing a brand-new theme park for the Hyndburn area. Our team wowed judges and peers alike with their imaginative concept: a Netflix-themed attraction called ‘The Big N’. Their pitch was not only engaging and innovative, but also delivered with professionalism and flair in front of college staff and fellow students.

Their effort didn’t go unnoticed — our students were crowned the winning team! Judges were particularly impressed with their collaboration, confidence, and original ideas.
