Our Year 8 and 9 High Achieving Pupils (HAPS) at The Hyndburn Academy took an exciting step in their educational journey with a visit to the University Centre at Accrington & Rossendale College. This event aimed to introduce students to the world of higher education and inspire them to aspire to university-level studies.
The visit included a comprehensive introduction to university life, providing students with a glimpse into the academic and social aspects of higher education. An engaging degree workshop allowed them to explore various degree programs and understand the pathways to achieving their academic and career goals. The guided tour of the campus showcased the facilities and resources available to university students, further sparking their interest in pursuing higher education.
Students also had the opportunity to participate in a Q&A session, where they asked insightful questions about degree programs, student life, and the steps needed to succeed in their future academic endeavors. This interactive session provided valuable information and motivated the students to aim high and work towards their goals.
This experience was designed to empower our young achievers to dream big and envision a bright future. We are proud of our Year 8 and 9 HAPS for their enthusiasm and engagement during this visit, and we look forward to seeing them continue to excel in their educational journeys.
